I found this book easy to read and a great overview. It doesn't get bogged down with so many details that you can't see the forest for the trees. If you've ever wondered about what happened in England during the Protestant Reformation but wondered where to start, wonder no more. This is it, your starting point. I still refer back to this book.

I have always had an interest in this period of history and I enjoyed learning more about some of the key figures in Henry's personal reforming of the Church into his own political/religious device.
Vry good read.
