| On July 5, 1974 in one of the temporary buildings in which the first classes were held at the Tabancura school, St. Josemaria Escriva held several meetings with thousands of Chileans.
A key theme at the gathering was a phrase of St. Paul which he had in his mind and heart that day: "vita est abscondita cum Christo in Deo" (Colossians 3:3), the life you have is hidden with Christ in God. We have this interior life within our hearts.
Those words provided the context for the meeting during which St. Josemaria answered questions on the need to attend Mass on Sundays, the founding of Opus Dei, and the formation of children to enable them to develop into people of sound judgment.
